- There is some confusion with Hugh Jameson's burial. Some accounts have him (as well as his wife Lois and son George) buried in Fairview Cemetery, Waterloo, Iowa. However, there are no records or any physical evidence, at that cemetery, to support this. Waterloo Cemetery (also in Waterloo, Iowa), records claim his original burial and there is a physical gravesite, with headstone, clearly showing he is buried here.
There is also an issue with a large headstone including his name, that of his wife Lois and son George (amongst other family) at Lincoln Cemetery, in nearby Voorhies, Iowa. Because there is no evidence of anyone being moved here from Waterloo (or any other) Cemetery, it is thought that this stone is intended as a general family memorial, not necessarily burial.
