  Owned a flouring mill in Churchville, NY with Ira M. Randall, doing business under the firm of Jameson & Randall for many years. [7] "Superintendent of Oil Works" (most likely J.M.Williams Oil Company - Later Canadian Oil Company), while living in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in 1861. [3] 5 Feb 1868, purchased land and hotel in Jacksonville, FL and runs it as the Rochester House, with his brother Joseph until his death in Jacksonville in October of 1969. Property was eventually sold with a Referee Deed in January 1873. According to Isaac's will he was an owner of the Fanny Fern. The "Fanny" was a 17 ton vessel used on the St. Johns River in Jacksonville. It was built in 1868 and exploded on 1/22/1873 killing 3. This information is from Edward Meuller's book; "Steamboats on the St. Johns."
