• Notes

  Assumed to be the "Cusin James Cochran" (presumably a cousin by way of his wife) "of Sohagan," in the 1742 will of Jonathan Jameson. [2] One of the earliest settlers in Souhegan West, was a native of Ireland. He was elected deacon of the church, in 1744, in place of Captian Humphrey Hobbs, and held the office until his death 5 January 1774 [1]
