• Notes

  Was a noted Cardiologist and Professor Emeritus of Clinical Medicine at the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University. He received his under graduate degree from Harvard in 1937, a Masters degree in Civil Engineering from MIT in 1940 and a M.D. from Columbia University in 1950. He was known for his work on cardiac catheterization and over his career wrote extensively on cardiovascular disease issues. He was the director of the Cardiovascular Laboratory of Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and the Director of Cardiology at Roosevelt Hospital in New York City, before serving as acting director of Roosevelt's Department of Medicine.
