  Said to have died when about 14 years old. From Martha Onstead: "My grandmother Christianna, was the oldest, then William, Martha and George. Martha died at the age of 14(?) from an infectious disease (typhoid or dyptheria was her earlier recollection). My Dad said that Wiliam blamed himself for Martha?s death. He worked away from the farm in Glencoe and always said he brought the sickness home to her. They called her Mattie." She also states that Martha is buried in Glencoe in a spot that is now part of someone's yard.
