Thistledo (actually "this'll do") - about 1930
In the late 1930's Arthur and Lucy bought a 'country home' at 84 Palmer Road in Churchville, New York. The house was know as "Thistledo" an appellation that stuck when Lucy referred to it as "this-will-do" when originally looking at the place. This was their summer home for many years. Eventually they sold their home in Rochester to their son Daniel, Arthur maintaining a 'weekday' room there until he retired. After retirement "Thistledo" became the Jameson's year round home.
