Several of our Jameson family ancestors were part of the American Revolution and as such allow for descendants to be eligible to join various patriotic societies, such as the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Sons of the American Revolution, the Children of the American Revolution.
Listed Below are all the known participants from our Jameson family, with a brief listing of their service, and the various Society members associated with each Patriot Ancestor. This is a work in progress and any corrections or additions would be welcomed. Please contact us here.
Alexander Jameson (1748-1807) - (son of Thomas) (DAR#A061608): One of twenty-five people to sign the Association Test at Society Land (now Antrin, NH on April 12, 1776. Private in Captain Peter Clark's Company, in Colonel Daniel Moore's Regiment of Volunteers of the New Hampshire Regiment, which marched from Lyndborough, NH, September 1777 and joined the Northern Continental Army at Bennington, VT. He joined September 30, 1777 and was discharged October 26, 1777. He later reenlisted and was a Sergeant in Captain Jonas Kidder’s Company, in Colonel Moses Nichol’s Regiment of Militia, raised by the State of New Hampshire to join the Continental Army at West Point. Enlisted July 6, 1780 and served until October 24, 1780. See here for more data and analysis.

Alexander Jameson (1760-1820) - (son of Hugh) (DAR#A061607 - SAR#P-330002): Served in the Revolutionary War as a Private in Captain John Duncan's Company, in Colonel Daniel Moore's New Hampshire Regiment which marched from Bedford and Antrim, NH, September 1777 and joined the Northern Continental Army at Beningtown, VT. He joined September 29, 1777 and was discharged October 25, 1777. See here for more data and analysis.

Daniel Jameson (1762-1814) - (son of Hugh) (DAR#A061614 - SAR#P-224035): Enlisted on August 6, 1778, in Captain Lee's company of Colonel Moses Kelley's Regiment, serving on an expedition yo Rhode Island. He was discharged August 27, 1778. Served in 1780 under Captain Boyes in Reynold's Militia. He served again in September 1881 in a March to Springfield, MA.

Hugh Jameson (1758-1795) - (son of Thomas) (SAR#P-224041): Served at various times, starting in July of 1775, in the Revolutionary War, from both New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Served in 1781 for Bedford, mustered for 6 months to fill up Continental Army. See here for more data and analysis.

John Jameson (1750-1806) - (son of Thomas) (DAR#A061646 - SAR#P-224043): Served as a solider in Captain Elisha Woodburry's Company, Colonel John Stark's Regiment, in 1775. Served at Bunker Hill in the 1st New Hampshire Regiment under Captain Daniel Moore, and in Canada in 1776 in Wingate's Regiment and in Captain William. Barrows Company. Also, as a Private in Captain Jesse Wilson's Company, Colonel Moses Nichold's Regiment, of Starks Brigade of the Northern Army from July 21, to September 29, 1977.
